A Bit About Me
I am Dacia Petrie, a multi-hyphenate visionary hailing from the luminous shores of Jamaica. Black Nile was conceived with a mission to amplify authentic representation of the African Diaspora, and bridge the global racial wealth gap, one business idea at a time. At just 17 years old, I was a radical dreamer who fervently believed God gave me the power to make a difference in reshaping the future of the oppressed—and I have never wavered in that conviction. Today, that dream has blossomed into reality, where I strive to elevate deserving black-owned businesses within the global marketplace and invest in entrepreneurs that exemplify kingdom excellence.
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor...to set the oppressed free” (Luke 4:18).
Welcome to the Nile—the river of holiness, empowerment, and wealth beyond earthly possessions!

Black Nile was published and released to the public.
After completing a Web Design course at Spelman, I evolved my blog beyond just an Instagram page. It's now a comprehensive directory aimed to help others easily find and shop black-owned businesses.
Started an Instagram blog in high school catering to the success of black people, creators, and businesses to highlight positive representation within the African Diaspora.
