What is the Nile?

The Nile holds a profound symbolism, rich with layers of meaning that resonate deeply with our faith in Christ, our heritage, and unique plight in history and today.

MORE THAN A MARKETPLACE

The Nile is a research driven and service-oriented digital ecosystem and ministry, comprised of a marketplace, directory, community, and resource hub.

Our marketplace is a foundational step in a larger journey toward breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty, confronting 1 of the 12 dimensions of poverty - financial poverty,

paving the way for lasting economic empowerment across generations — because our mission is deeper than skin and far greater than wealth.

By developing innovative initiatives and supporting already existing sustainable community-led programs that challenges systemic barriers, the Black Nile aims to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty within the African diaspora and strengthen  families and communities on the firm foundation of Christ, forstering a just and equitable world for ALL.

A Bit About Me

Dacia is a prophetic historian and multihyphenate creative who builds innovative startups for fun and fights intergenerational poverty for a living. She is a three-time founder, humanitarian, and devoted follower of Jesus Christ. From the tender age of 4, she has been a history scholar and a radical dreamer who fervently believed God gave her the power to make a difference in reshaping the future of the oppressed—and she has never wavered in that conviction. She went on to study International Studies with a Concentration in International Development in the African Diaspora and the World at Spelman College, and has dedicated her life to confronting and dismantling the poverty cycle through creating transformative solutions, one community at a time. Her knowledge spans continents, cultures, and histories, giving her a global perspective on the nuanced barriers faced by diverse communities. Rather than imposing one-size-fits-all top down traditional solutions, she engages deeply with each community, immersing herself to understand the systemic and spiritual barriers that shape families and environments, ensuring her work addresses root causes with precision, compassion, and truth. She actively implements unorthodox systems that drive real change, building initiatives that are sustainable, equitable, community-centered, and welcoming to people of all backgrounds and walks of life. With her combination of entrepreneurial experience, academic expertise, global insight, and spiritual depth, Dacia embraces the reponsibility of being a true global citizen with a vision to create a united world, where Galatians 3:28 is fully embodied, transcending divisions of race, status, gender, and background, rooted in the true love and heart of Jesus Christ. She believes that by uplifting the most disadvantaged communities, we not only help break the poverty cycle, but also foster true unity, promoting healing, equity, reconciliation, and peace for all.

Jesus said “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor...to set the oppressed free” (Luke 4:18).

Welcome to the Nile  --- the river of liberation, holiness, and wealth beyond earthly possessions!

Black Nile website was published and released to the public with 1000 brands in 25 categories.

After completing a computer science course at Spelman, I evolved my blog beyond just an Instagram page and designed a comprehensive directory aimed to help others easily find and shop black-owned businesses.

Started an Instagram blog in high school catering to the success of black people, creators, and businesses to highlight positive representation within the African Diaspora.
