Hotels & Villas

The National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers says that only 2% of U.S. hotels are Black-owned. Of those, less than 1% are owned by Black women.

In the U.S., 4 in 10 Restaurant Businesses are owned by minorities, and only 9% are Black- or African American owned.

Beauty Supply

According to the Beauty Supply Institute, the beauty supply industry generates about $15 billion per year. Although 96% of the customers are black, less than 3% of ownership within the industry is black.
