At The Nile, we ensure that businesses receive their earnings securely and efficiently through our Marketplace Store. Below are common questions about how payouts work for sellers on our platform. 1. How do I get paid for sales made on The Nile? All payouts are processed through the Marketplace Store and are sent directly to your business PayPal account. When a customer makes a purchase, the funds are collected and then disbursed to your linked PayPal account after processing. 2. How often are payouts processed? Payouts are processed on a scheduled basis, depending on the store’s payment cycle. Most sellers receive their funds within X business days after a successful sale. 3. Do I need a PayPal account to receive payouts? Yes, sellers are required to have a business PayPal account to receive payouts. This ensures secure transactions and fast access to your earnings. If you don’t have a business PayPal account, you can create one at PayPal’s website. 4. Are there any fees associated with payouts? PayPal may charge transaction fees based on their standard processing rates. The Nile does not control PayPal’s fees, so we recommend reviewing their latest pricing on their website. 5. How do I set up my PayPal account for payouts? To ensure smooth payouts, follow these steps: Create or log in to your business PayPal account. Go to your Marketplace Store dashboardon The Nile. Link your PayPal email in the payout section. Save your settings and verify that your account is ready to receive payments. 6. What happens if my payout is delayed? If you experience a delay, consider the following: Processing times vary based on PayPal’s system and your bank. Ensure your PayPal account is correctly linked and verified. Check your PayPal settings to confirm there are no restrictions on receiving funds. If issues persist, contact The Nile’s support team for assistance. 7. Can I change my PayPal account for payouts? Yes, you can update your PayPal email in your Marketplace Store settings. Make sure to double-check your information to avoid payment issues. 8. Do I need to withdraw funds manually from PayPal? Once your earnings are deposited into your PayPal account, you may need to transfer the funds to your bank account manually, depending on your PayPal settings. 9. What currency are payouts processed in? Payouts are typically processed in USD. If your PayPal account is in a different currency, PayPal will convert the funds based on their exchange rates. 10. Prohibited Items on The Nile To maintain the integrity and mission of The Nile as a Black-owned directory and marketplace, we have established guidelines on what can and cannot be sold on our platform. These restrictions are in place to align with our values, create a safe and respectful marketplace, and ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards. Restricted & Prohibited Items 1. Divination & Spiritual Practices Outside of Christ The Nile does not allow the sale of items related to divination, mysticism, or spiritual practices outside of Christianity, including but not limited to: Tarot cards, oracle decks, and divination tools Crystals marketed for metaphysical or spiritual purposes Law of Attraction books and manifestation guides Voodoo, Obeah, Santa Muerte, Juju, and other non-Christian spiritual practice items Spiritual oils, powders, candles, or charms tied to occult or non-Christian rituals 2. Sexually Provocative & Explicit Content The Nile aims to maintain a marketplace that is family-friendly and respectful of cultural and moral values. As such, the following items are prohibited: Sexually explicit materials, including adult toys and erotica Books, artwork, or media that promote pornography, fetish content, or explicit adult themes 3. Illegal, Dangerous, or Regulated Items For legal and safety reasons, The Nile strictly prohibits the sale of: Drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia Weapons, firearms, ammunition, and explosives Tobacco, vaping products, or recreational drug-related items Counterfeit goods, replicas, or knockoff products Stolen goods or items that violate intellectual property laws 4. Harmful or Offensive Content To maintain a positive and respectful marketplace, The Nile prohibits the sale of: Hate speech, racist, or discriminatory items Products that promote violence, self-harm, or illegal activity Items with misleading, false, or deceptive claims 5. Other Prohibited Items Live animals and animal products from endangered species Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing (MLM) recruitment programs Medical products, supplements, or unapproved health claims Policy Enforcement The Nile reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these guidelines.
