About Artist
Nneka Jones, a Trinidadian-born artist, blends cultural heritage with activism in her multidisciplinary practice. The youngest of four, she explored art from an early age, later earning top honors in the Caribbean Art and Design Examinations. Jones holds a BFA from the University of Tampa and advocates for women and girls of color. Known for her realistic embroidered portraits, her work has been featured by TIME magazine and collected by museums like the Tampa Museum of Art and Florida Craft Art Gallery.
