We’re halfway through the year, and the grant wave is in full swing! If you haven’t thrown your hat in the ring yet, now’s the time! Opportunities are dropping left and right and there’s still plenty of time to secure the funding your black-owned brand needs to thrive. Here are the grants you can apply for this June—let’s get that bag!


Verizon Small Business Grant

The Verizon Small Business Grant provides financial support to under-resourced small businesses and offers access to online courses, mentorship, and networking events to navigate the digital landscape and thrive in today’s economy. It aims to foster innovation, drive economic growth, and support community development.


Amount: $20,000


Eligibility: Small businesses who register on the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready platform and complete at least two activities

Deadline: June 30, 2025



Her Rise MicroGrant

The HerRise MicroGrant, providing $1,000 each month, is available to under-resourced women, including women of color entrepreneurs, across a variety of industries.


Amount: $1,000

our business must be:

51% owned by women

Currently registered in the US

Less than $1 million in gross revenue


Deadline: Year-Round; Last day of each month



National Black Business Pitch

The National Black Business Pitch is an annual competition for Black business owners. Finalists are selected to pitch their businesses in front of a virtual audience, with three winners receiving prizes of up to $10,000.


Deadline: June 9, 2025






Hello Alice BGE Energizing Small Business Grant

The BGE Energizing Small Business grant program, presented in partnership with Hello Alice and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), is offering $20K grants to help central Maryland businesses succeed and thrive.


Amount: $20,000

Deadline: June 13, 2025 at 6 P.M ET



Galaxy Stars

SoGal Black Founder Startup Grant

SoGal Foundation has teamed up with Winky Lux, bluemercury, twelveNYC, Twilio, and other sponsors to make a small step towards progress by providing several $10K and $5K cash grants to Black women or nonbinary entrepreneurs.


Awardees will also receive tactical help navigating the fundraising environment at large so that they will have a more equitable opportunity at scaling the next billion dollar idea.


To qualify, you should:

– self-identify as a Black woman or Black nonbinary entrepreneur (inclusive of multiracial Black women and multiracial Black nonbinary folks)

– have a legally registered business

– plan to seek investor financing in order to scale, now or in the future

– have a scalable, high-impact solution or idea with the ambition to be the next billion dollar business.

Amount: $10,000

Amber Grant Monthly Start-Up Grant

Amber Grant offers an additional grant opportunity: the WomensNet Startup Grant. We define a “startup” as a business still in the idea phase or one with minimal sales (under $10,000).

While startups are eligible for our monthly Amber Grants, they created this additional grant to support this underserved sector.

Each month, our judges review all applications and award a $10,000 Amber Grant. Monthly winners also qualify for the year-end $25,000 Amber Grant.


They do have an application fee of $15.

Honeycomb Celebration Grant

The Honeycomb Celebration Grant is offering $2,500 in funding to entrepreneurs who are ready to take a meaningful next step in their businesses. Who it's for: This grant is open to all small business owners and entrepreneurs, regardless of industry, location, or stage of business. 


Eligibility:

  • Brick-and-mortar or online businesses

  • Product- or service-based entrepreneurs

  • Creatives, consultants, makers, and founders across all sectors and communities.


  • Amount: $2500

  • Deadline: June 27, 2025



NASE Growth Grant

Applicants must be NASE members in good standing for at least three months (annual members may apply immediately).

Grants can be used for marketing, advertising, hiring employees, expanding facilities and other specific business needs.

Grant applications are reviewed quarterly, based on the following schedule:

  • Completed applications received in January, February and March will be reviewed in April.

  • Completed applications received in April, May and June will be reviewed in July.

  • Completed applications received in July, August and September will be reviewed in October.

  • Completed applications received in October, November and December will be reviewed in January of the following year.


    Amount: $25,000

    Deadline: Rolling

Cartier Women’s Initiative Award

The Regional Awards of the Cartier Women’s Initiative are looking for women-owned and women-led impact-driven businesses. Entrepreneurs across all sectors and geographies are encouraged to apply. Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply, and every effort will be made to include them appropriately.


Amount:

  • US$ 100,000 grant for each first-place awardee

  • US$ 60,000 grant for each second-place awardee

  • US$ 30,000 grant for each third-place awardee


Deadline: June 24, 2025
